 Fife and Lothians 2nd Round

Linlithgow Rose 3:1 Carnoustie Panmure

Linlithgow Scorers - Roddy MacLennan (8,89) Coyne (73)
Carnoustie - Scorers - Watson (42)

Rose moved into second place in the league thanks to this victory over Carnoustie.

The vistors started brightly but shot themselves in the foot when Narey and McCafferty got in a muddle and Roddy MacLennan capitalised to open the scoring.

Linlithgow passed up a number of chances to increase their lead and paid the penalty when Watson equalised with an accurate strike just before half-time.

Shirra replaced Walker at half-time and added some impetus to the Rose play,
but it took the further introduction of Manson and Herd to provide the
spark for this victory.

Five minutes after coming on Manson latched on to Roddy's pass and his incisive cross was converted by Tommy Coyne.

Both teams missed chances, with Rose keeper Kyle Allison in fine form, before Linlithgow sealed the points.

Roddy MacLennan latched on to a long ball, rounded the keeper and slotted
the ball into the net.
